About

Enterprise depth, at a scale that fits your business.

HEED SAI was built on a single conviction: small and mid-sized businesses deserve the same quality of AI guidance as the Fortune 500, at a price that makes sense for their scale.

Our team brings deep enterprise technology leadership across global organizations, hands-on AI implementation experience, and academic-backed AI education. That combination means we can speak to your executives, your operations team, and your developers in the same conversation.

We have navigated infrastructure transformations, security architecture overhauls, data strategy problems, and the full lifecycle of enterprise technology change. We help companies and their workforces build a diverse AI skillset on top of the experience they already have, which is the one advantage a competitor cannot copy overnight.

Based in New Jersey, with a specialist network and clients that reach well beyond it. We work globally.

What we bring

  • Enterprise technology leadership. Decades navigating complex transformations in global organizations.
  • AI education and certification. LLMOps, DevOps, regulatory compliance, security architecture, and ethics.
  • Secure and responsible AI architecture. NIST, GDPR, the EU AI Act, HIPAA: compliance designed in from day one.
  • A trusted specialist network. AI engineers, data scientists, and domain experts on demand.
  • SMB-specific playbooks. Methods built for the speed, budget, and culture of a growing business.

Responsible AI notice

The societal side of AI is part of the work

We guide every engagement through an ethical, legal, and security lens, because protecting your people, your clients, and your reputation is part of what you are paying for.

Data privacy and security

Compliance is designed into every solution from day one rather than bolted on afterward. The frameworks and rules we work against are listed below, and we check which of them reach you before we design anything.

Fairness and bias mitigation

We identify and address bias in AI systems so outcomes stay inclusive and representative.

Transparency and explainability

Black boxes do not belong in business decisions. We build systems where humans can understand and override the output.

Human augmentation

AI amplifies human potential. Our human-in-the-loop approach keeps your people in control of the outcomes that matter.

Frameworks and rules we work against

Which of these reach a given client depends on the sector, the states they operate in, and who they sell to. We establish that in the readiness audit rather than assuming it.

Frameworks we align to. NIST AI Risk Management Framework 1.0. ISO/IEC 42001 for AI management systems. SOC 2. The NIST Cybersecurity Framework and NIST SP 800-171 where the work calls for them.

United States, federal. HIPAA for health data. GLBA and the FTC Safeguards Rule for financial data. Section 5 of the FTC Act, which the Commission has used against deceptive AI claims under Operation AI Comply. The Fair Credit Reporting Act where AI touches credit or background screening. Title VII and the ADA where AI touches hiring. CMMC with DFARS 252.204-7012 and NIST SP 800-171 for defense suppliers. ITAR and EAR for controlled technical data. COPPA where minors are involved.

United States, states with enforcement behind them. California: the CCPA and CPRA with the privacy agency's automated decision-making rules, the Civil Rights Council regulations on automated decision systems in employment that have applied since October 1, 2025 and carry a four-year retention duty, the AI Transparency Act (SB 942) from August 2, 2026, as rewritten by SB 1000 on September 30, 2026, which removed the million-user threshold and reaches any publicly accessible generative system, SB 947 from July 1, 2027, which bars primary reliance on an automated decision system to discipline or terminate an employee, AB 2013 on training-data disclosure, SB 243 on companion chatbots, and AB 489 on health communications. Colorado: the Automated Decision-Making Technology Act, signed May 14, 2026 and effective January 1, 2027, enforced by the attorney general at up to $20,000 per violation. Illinois: HB 3773 under the Human Rights Act since January 1, 2026, and BIPA, which carries a private right of action. Texas: the Responsible Artificial Intelligence Governance Act since January 1, 2026, enforced by the attorney general, with a defense for organizations that follow a recognized framework such as the NIST AI RMF. New York City: Local Law 144 bias audits for automated employment decision tools. Utah: the AI Policy Act disclosure duties in regulated professions. Connecticut: Public Act 26-15, with written-notice duties for AI used in employment decisions from October 1, 2027. Washington: My Health My Data, also with a private right of action.

Europe. The EU AI Act. The Article 50 transparency duties have applied since August 2, 2026, with a transition to December 2, 2026 for marking and detection on generative systems already on the market. The high-risk obligations in Annex III, which cover employment among other areas, apply from December 2, 2027, and systems embedded in products from August 2, 2028. The GDPR, including Article 22 on decisions made by automated means. NIS2 where a client falls in scope.

Some of this is moving. Colorado repealed its 2024 AI Act and replaced it, and a federal executive order has directed challenges to state AI laws. We track what is in force rather than what was announced, and the Weekly Signal is where we report the changes.
